Steven R. Fischer

Steve has been an investor in Keltic since 2004. He took a more active role in Keltic management in 2008, bringing forty years of corporate finance experience. Previously, he was President of Capital One Leveraged Finance, serving middle market companies with loan facilities for acquisitions, mergers, recapitalizations and working capital. From March 1992 to February 2004, Steve was President of Transamerica Business Capital Corporation, where he developed various corporate finance products and built a profitable $3.5 billion portfolio of middle market secured transactions. He assisted in the negotiation and sale of Transamerica’s asset based and structured finance unit to GE Capital.

As Vice President and Regional Manager of Citibank’s Leveraged Finance Division he succeeded in building a $250 million portfolio, managing it with a proactive approach which resulted in zero credit losses over an eight year consecutive period. He also negotiated and structured numerous complex deals and developed close relationships with many financial intermediaries, customers and prospects. He assisted in the negotiation and sale of Citibank’s asset based lending unit to Transamerica.

Earlier in his career, Steve worked in executive capacities at Dalilia Trading Company and Commercial Credit Business Loans. He is Chairman of the Board of Scansource, Inc., a publicly traded value added distributor of bar coding, scanning, telephone, communication systems, and security products. He is also Chairman of the Audit Committee of Falconstor Software, Inc., a publicly traded storage and data protection software company.

He holds an MBA degree in Finance and Investments from Baruch College and a B.A. degree in Economics and Accounting from Queens College.
